Gerald G. Moulton, 99, of Skowhegan, passed away Friday January 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born November 12, 1921 in Bingham, Maine, the son of Earl W. Moulton and Jessie Smith Lancaster.
Gerry attended Skowhegan schools before serving in the US Navy during WWII.
Gerry worked for the Maine Spinning Mill as a Bobbin setter for more than twenty years, then for Turcotte’e Restaurant as a cook, For over 25 years, he worked for the former American Laundry retiring in 1980 and later went to work for McDonald’s in Skowhegan following that Gerry Worked for Walmart as a greeter. And for more than 50 years, Gerry also worked for the Skowhegan Drive-in, first as an attendant in the early 1950’s and then on to the maintenance man in the later years.
He was a member of the Peter-Shortier American Legion, the Forty & Eight, and a member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes.
He is survived by his daughter Elaine Ellis of Skowhegan; his son-in-law Pete Leonard of Costa Rico; his five grandchildren, Jason Ellis and his companion Katie McGlashing, Joshua Potenza, Melissa Keister and her husband John, Zachary Walker and his wife Morgan and Ronald Bubier; his 11 great-grandchildren, Jada, Oliva, Aubree, Wyatt, Brendon, Baily, Kaylee, Kennedy, Nevaeh, Riley, and Taylor; his caregiver and friend Dwayne Landry of Skowhegan as well as nieces and nephews and their spouses, Teddy Poulin, Joyce Foley, Jayne Hart, Janet King, Patsy Jarvis, Ginger Cyr and Steven Cyr.
He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Constance, his daughters Emmie Cooper; his sister June Tozier; his brothers, Kenneth and Clair Moulton.
Services will be held at a later date in the spring.
