Harry Garfield Moran

He was born August 22, 1934 in Century, West Virginia to the late Henry Lewis and Gertrude May Moran. He graduated from Philippi High School in 1953 and moved to live with his sister in Virginia where he started working at Reagan National Airport for American Airlines Hot Shoppes. He joined the United States Army in 1954, serving two years in Germany. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to work at American Airlines. He retired as a Crew Chief Foreman in 1996 after a 43-year career. He loved all sports including bowling on many leagues and winning numerous trophies as an excellent bowler. Above all he loved and cherished his family especially his two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Ann Moran of 50 years, six brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his daughter Ginger A. Hawkins and her husband Garrison; two granddaughters, Hannah L. and Madelyn A. Hawkins; and a stepdaughter Connie H. Gooch and her husband Carveth.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021,1:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery, 822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Va.
