He was born on November 8, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to Clifford & Juanita Carter. David was a member of the United States Navy, serving with honor and pride aboard the U.S.S. Garcia as a Signalman. He was also a member of the Lyndon Christian Church.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford & Juanita Angel – Carter; and one brother, Larry Carter.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sheila Carter; children, Jody (David) Avery, Nathan (Amy) Carter, Adam Johnson and Andrew (Danielle) Johnson; 6 – grandchildren, 8 – great – grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be live streamed via our Facebook Page – Evergreen Funeral Home & Evergreen Cemetery beginning at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
Entombment will be in the St. Mark Mausoleum of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums.
In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society or Hosparus Health – Louisville.
