Hoy hace un año que Él Señor te llevo a descansar júnto a Él. Aqui te estrañamos muchisímos pero no pasa ni un dia que no estes en nuestros pensamientos y en nuestros Corazón. Gracias a Dios que sé te tiene en su Santa Gloria. Tu siempre fuiste y seras nuestros resplandor aún después de haberte ido. Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar
Te AMO con todo mi corazón.  Tu primogenita.

Mami  te extrano   Un fuelte abrazo  descansa en Paz  hasta luego  me haces mucha falta  Nosotras disfrutando

To our Navarro Family we wish to extend our condolences during this very difficult time. Titi Esperanza was the best Aunt we could ever ask God to give us. She was loving yet stern, funny and the life of the Party-she treated everyone like family.  Titi will be missed greatly.

A seat was always available for anyone at the Thanksgiving table whom she instinctively knew needed one...

And at the end of her journey here on Earth and the beginning of another in heaven, she still got us all together to celebrate her life... 

She said,  “never let them tell you you can’t do something....”

All this was my grandmother and more....I could write for days about her... but....

She lives in me and in all uf us who will continue her example....

She left with us a legacy of life lessons: she said god is 1st above all, then love of family, then education. Her favorites: Puerto Rican cooking that would have given the best chefs a run for their money, she enjoyed bird watch/feeding gardening, scratching Bingo lottery tickets, Dominoes, the color yellow,she loved seafood, from the 70’s-90s  Budweiser in NJ, then she moved on to Coors light in FL and finally she crossed over to White Zinfandel about 10 years ago, she lived the look on all our faces eating  her famous  Alcapurrias and pasteles and orejitas con Cuajito....
she said love family unconditionally because love is the greatest force....
she was extremely blunt, so much so , that she may have hurt your feelings, but when she came to understand that it did, she was just as quick to apologize...
she was a strong Taina Warrior who lived by the words: “where there is a will there is a way”.  I remember she organized an assembly line of family and each member had their part in making pasteles, we sold more than 1,000 of them and paid for my first year of college...
their was never an unfed soul at any family occasion quinceañero, wedding, baptism, Christmas parranda, or divorce  party...

yes, there was a party for EVERYTHING under the sun...and a birthday cake for every birthday, and if we could not go to a theme park as a family, we went camping, or BBQ-ing at the iced Tea lake or driving long hours to see Niagara or Kennedy Space center...or a local beach...or Milcreek Park in Willingboro, NJ...
Growing up around her, Speaking Spanish was a must, respecting elders was a must, saying Bendición is still a must, and you didn’t speak unless spoken to...
doors were always open...So many family members lived with her and Abuelo at different points in time because family helps family...and there was always a plate of food for the kids down the street whom she automatically knew were hungry...

Abuela Esperanza went to heaven  peacefully 3/31/21 at 3:09am.  

Upon her last breath, in my mind, I heard her words: “cuando yo me muera, no me lloren, lo que me vayan a dar, que me lo den en vida”which means, don’t cry at my funeral, just make sure that whatever you wanted to give me, you gave me while alive....

And I kissed her warm forehead and said “Bendicion Abuela...you will live in me and through me....because I will keep your memory alive and I shall see you again...say hi to all our loved ones especially Abuela Suzana, her momma, my great grandmother....

And I kept hearing many of her words in my mind: “I don’t want to live in a bed, it’s no way to live so if it comes to that, let me go and don’t give me a breathing or feeding tube”

so we honored your wishes Abuela....as hard as that was....and I take comfort in the fact that I respected your words...and  shall remember your dancing, singing, cooking, gardening, traveling with and for family, and your hard work...

From her lamp factory working days, to keeping a home clean, a husband happy, children and half the neighborhood fed and everyone prayed up for, she had her hands full always...

I also heard her in my mind: singing one of her favorite parranda 🎵 🎶 songs: “quítale quítale quítale quiiiii-tale el tapón, pon pon,” I heard her say “No F’n American Music” when trying to preserve the culture, and “I no peekeee eeengleee pero Fuh-kee  fue-kee tooh-jooh” if ever  anyone racist tried  messing with her....

My dear Navarro family I know the whole in your heart that you feel at the passing of your mom.  Tia Esperanza was a wonderful human being.   Her love for god and family was beautiful. She was very kind to her brother Miguel, Maria and my sister and I.  She greeted us with open arms.  I will never forget the parandas and roasting of the whole pig.  Rest In Peace sweet Esperanza, you will be missed.

Mami Nuca me falto nada, nuca te dites por vencida ni aun cuando yo ya si. Tu como tu nombre sigiste teniendo Esperanza's. Hasta que Al fin complite  tu mission aqui el la tierra. Perdon madre Mia. Y Gracias  y gracias Jehovah por a ver dejado que yo la disfrutara por 57 año's. Se que te fuiste tranquilo y Feliz con la vida que viviste.💞🙏❤️

Esperanza was my second mother. She always looked out for me and made sure I behaved. Hahaha. I will miss all her delicious food. She was an awesome cook and I'm grateful that she was in my life. I will miss you.

Esperanza was a wonderful lady who spread joy wherever she went.
 I will never forget all the wonderful times my children and I spent at her house. She was always  smiling and happy to see us. She was such a loved soul. I never saw her angry or sad.
I will truly miss her.

No hay palabras que puedan expresar como me siento de perder una tia tan especial Esperanza Navarro. No lo esperavamos . Titi nunca Olvidaremos lo bien que nos tratabas cuando llegabamos a tu casa. Rolando mi esposo te  queria mucho y disfrutaba visitarte. Solo descansas en los brazos de mi Señor. Siempre viviras en nuestros corazones. Love ❤️ you mi tia adoradora
