Harriett Ann Lewis Virden

She was born in Peoria County, Illinois on June 9, 1930 to John and Alice (Foley) Lewis.

She married the love of her life, Albert L. Virden on April 23, 1948 in Peoria. He passed away on December 16, 2004. They had 56 wonderful years together.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers and one son-in-law Hugh (Mac) McQuarrie.

Harriett and her husband owned and operated M & H Auto Sales in Peoria for 27 years.

They were blessed with four grown children, Alberta McQuarrie of Hanna City, Harry (Faye) Virden of Bellevue, Linda (Bobby) Brown of Hanna City and Elizabeth (Steve) Mizell of North Carolina.

She also leaves behind to cherish her memory five grandchildren, Rodney (Diana) Brown, Lin (Rick) Carlsten, Mike (Sandi) Brown, Brenda (Clint) Whitaker, and Leon Virden; five great-granddaughters, Crystal, Amber, Candice, Brooke and Autumn; two great-grandsons, Cody and Isaac; three great-great-grandsons, Christian, Jace and Jaxson; one great-great-granddaughter Glory; two sister-in-laws, Shirley Lewis and Mable Westlake; and two brother-in-laws, Melvin Wiseman and Roger Thornton .

She had a wish to see all her children become senior citizens and she did accomplish that.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Rev. Craig Hislope will officiate.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
