Paul Fredrick Bracey, 81, of Baton Rouge, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 31, 2021 after a long, hard battle with heart disease and Parkinson’s disease. Paul was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 8, 1939. His family moved to Louisiana soon after and he spent most of his life in Baton Rouge. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School and later attended Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Southern Mississippi. He married his high school sweetheart, Glenda Faye Townley. They were married for 60 years and had 3 sons. Paul spent his life as a plumber and small business owner. He loved helping people anyway he could in his work. He also loved to sing and spent years singing all over south Louisiana and Mississippi with The Shepherds Four and The Kingdom Singers. He used his gifts to serve the Lord and touched many lives. He leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness to all those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Nelson Bracey Sr. and Hilda Gerlene (Alexander) Bracey; brother, Charles Lynn Bracey Sr.; and son, Glen Wayne Bracey. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Faye Bracey; sons, Terry Bracey and wife Cathy, and Danny Bracey and wife Terry; 3 grandsons, Austin, Ryan and Tommy; brother, Cecil Nelson Bracey, Jr.; one niece and many nephews. Visitation will be on April 17, 2021 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA, from 10:00 AM until a Memorial Service at 12:00.
