Chase was one of those guys that could light up a room with that contagious smile and also calm a storm with his sweet, warm presence. This is just pure heartbreak. Prayers and hugs to Chase’s family and friends 

Rest easy, Slingshot!! Thank you for years of incredible memories, car rides, laughs, and friendship. You meant so much to so many people. We’ll forever remember you and be grateful for your time my friend.

My heart is breaking for his family. Chase was such a nice guy. He was charismatic and sincere. He didn’t place judgment even in high school when everyone did. His smile was contagious. Chase Hardin will be remembered and missed by many! I am going to be praying for all of you and I’m sending my love! If I was still in Memphis I would attend the service. My heart will be there with y’all.

Truly breaks my heart Chase Hardin for your entire, sweet family. We lost a one of a kind person, no doubt. Fly high ole buddy. You will be missed by everyone who ever knew you.

Chase Hardin this was a special year . My junior year of high school . Wow we had a special basketball team and a great Group of coaches ! We might have lost to white station on a dumb charge call . But that is the year i realized we had some great friendships and great team chemistry . You will be missed brother ! God bless ya Man!

I’ve known you since you played for the Memphis Travelers ⚾️  You are the only person I know that loves the Kentucky Wildcats as much as I do 💙 You were a beast on the mound and I always believed you could’ve went pro. You will be truly missed Chase. You were one of the nicest guys I ever got the pleasure to call a friend.

You were one of the only people in your crew at Elmore Park who took the time to be kind to me. You knew I wasn’t well-liked, but you invited me to your birthday party at Singleton and asked me several times the day of it if I was still coming and wouldn’t take no for an answer. You always said hey to me no matter who you were with. In high school you you’d still ask how I was and asked how the music stuff was going. I remember at snowflake one year I finally asked a cute girl to dance and she said yes, then I looked over and you were there smiling and giving me a thumbs up. I’m not sure what happened but I’m sorry and I just wanted to say that I appreciated you then, and will always remember your kindness. Thank you Chase, be at peace man.

Yesterday was tough day as we celebrated the life of our teammate and friend, Chase Hardin, aka Slingshot! Me and my boys in this photo had a long overdue night of beers and reminiscing on hilarious stories about Chase and our Memphis Travelers days. We will miss you brother, but know you are at peace now looking over us all. We will see you on the other side.

No matter how much has changed over the years and continue to do so I will never forget the people who played a positive and impactful role in my pre-adulthood experience.... Chase Hardin is one of those people. I will always remember him this way, radiating positive energy. 
Thank you for always having my back, for your inclusivity, and for your nonjudgmental presence. I can still hear your upbeat and contagious laugh as if it were yesterday. You will be sorely missed my friend 💔.

The outpouring of love that I saw today for Chase and for the Hardin family will be in my heart for the rest of my life. How very much he and you are admired for your kindness and love for everyone. Thank you for being that beautiful role model for us. Cody‘s words were so heartfelt and his ability to make us laugh in the midst of sorrow is a rare gift indeed. Cody, Lacey, Cash, and Sunny will be reminders that Chase wants you to be here for the living. All the words to the songs are reassurance that one day you all will be in Chase’s  presence again. Blessed assurance.

Praying for each of you, your entire family and all the friends who knew Chase as a brother during this time. 

I can’t think of college without hearing Chase’s infectious laughter or picturing his incredible jump shot or be taken back to the simple errands we’d run together weekly where we’d talk about everything under the sun. 

He truly had the ability to touch your life just by interacting with him, and I’m selfishly very grateful for the way you all raised him as his presence in my life allowed me to be around that loving specialness during some of my own most difficult years. I’ll miss him greatly.

You always made me feel comfortable and led me on the court and off. I valued that you never looked down on me and pushed me to be great. You at that time were like family and you will truly be missed bro.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your precious son. I remember he and his brother as little boys playing in the front yard and having a ball as all kids do. Bliss and Mark you are in my prayers and Earl and I are devistated to hear of this.
