Pauline A Meador

Pauline attended Dunbar High School in Lufkin, Texas and finished her High School Education at Booker T. Washington High School in Houston, Texas. In 1943, Pauline received her Cosmetology License from Franklin Beauty School. She and her best friend Mrs. L.V. Donahue rented Davis Beauty Salon. Pauline worked in numerous beauty shops from Texas to Cleveland, Ohio for sixty two years. She worked as a Cosmetologist until October 30, 2005.

At an early age, Pauline was baptized at Long Chapel CME Church. As an adult, she was a member of BeBee Tabnernacle CME Church, Parkwood CME Church, Pennel Chapel CME Church and Joshua Chapel CME Church. God has always been first in her life. She worked in various offices of the church mainly with children. Later in life, she joined Baytown LaPorte Seventh Day Adventist Church where at ninety two years old, she was baptized again.

Pauline married Willie V. Calhoun and from this union, two children were born. In 1955, they divorced and she moved to Cleveland, Ohio. She later married Jack Andrews until he preceded her in death. Pauline returned to Texas where she met William Ray Meador of Jacksonville, Texas. They married July 25th, 1981 and he preceded her in death in 1998.

Pauline is also preceded in death by her parents, John C. Stewart and Etta Mae Haughton Stewart, her siblings, Berniece Stewart Dennis and John C. Stewart Jr., her nieces and nephew, Lillie Etta Zigler, Sonia Huff Christal and Verleon “Bubba” Zigler.

Pauline leaves to mourn her daughters, Norma Jean Calhoun Douglas and Etta Marie Calhoun Winchester, her beloved grandchildren, Gregory Winchester (wife Jackie), Earl David Nichols (wife Deirdre) and Paulette Nichols Hays (husband Thaddaus), treasured great-grandchildren, Avanti Winchester Small (husband Shawn II), Jada Hays, Jared Hays (wife Sarah), Marcus Kemp, Eric Nichols, Noelle Nichols, great- great grandchildren, Exavion Bowen, Kingston Hays, Khloe Hays, Devonte Kemp, Natavia Kemp, Isla Preston, Audri Small, Shawn Small, great- great -great grandchildren, Zaylee Bowen, Camille Kemp, Ava Kemp, and nieces, Roxanna Barnes, Deidre Davis(husband Michael), Maia Davis, Mia Davis, Vanessa Zigler, Dora Zigler, and nephews, James Zigler, Verlon Zigler (wife Stephanie), Cameron Barnes and other family members whom she adored.
