Barbara Jean Biggs

Barbara is survived by her husband, David Biggs; children, Kari Newell (née Biggs) and Bradley Biggs; and eight grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Milton Springer and Jean Evelyn Springer (née Dowlen), and brother, Theodore Milton Springer II.

Barbara Jean Biggs (née Springer) was born on October 31, 1955 in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Canyon del Oro High School, in Tucson, Arizona in 1973. She married David Biggs, a printer, in 1974. Over the next four years, the couple welcomed two children into their home, Kari and Bradley. Her children remember her as a fun mom who loved horses and football and was devoted to raising and caring for her family.

After moving to Tempe, Barbara began working for the Tempe Elementary School District. Barbara later moved with her husband to Tucson, where she worked at the University of Arizona until retirement. Upon her husband’s retirement, the couple moved to beautiful Springerville. Barbara excelled at tax preparation and enjoyed following the financial markets. She enjoyed camping and fishing, collecting baseball cards, crystal glassware, and coins, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an individual who loved her family deeply. She will be missed.
