Paul Daniel Matasic

He was born to parents Phyllis (Charles) Matasic and Paul F. Matasic, on November 15, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio.

He graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1974. Paul went on to study at Mahoning County Vocational School and graduated with Journeyman Machinist Certification. He worked as a machinist for over 40 years, and retired from Kennametal Inc. in 2020.

Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and football. Paul deeply loved his family and spending time with his two sons and four grandsons.

Paul met Margaret (Bushling) Matasic in 1970. They were married on June 5, 1976 in Youngstown, Ohio. Together they raised 2 sons: Michael (Beth) Matasic, Steven (Katherina) Matasic.

Paul is survived by his wife Margaret, 2 sons, 4 grandsons, Braeden, Jacob, Benjamin and Jasper , his sister Joyce (Don) Becker, sister-in-law Wendy (Robert) St Clair, brother-in-law John T (Diane) Bushling.

He was preceded in death by Father Paul F Matasic, Mother Phyllis (Charles) Matasic, Father-in law John D Bushling and Mother-in-law Winnie Bushling Hill and brother-in-law Dean A. Bushling.

The family has entrusted Wood-Kortright-Borkoski with the final arrangements. There will be a memorial service for immediate family only at a later date.
