Danny “Swampy” Ray Primes, Sr., passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the age of 75. He was a native of Prairieville, LA and a resident of Port Vincent, LA. He loved to hunt and fish and had a lifelong appreciation for country and western music, especially Hank Williams, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wallace Primes and Audrey Mae Templet; brother, Bobby Primes. He is survived by his daughters, Anna Broussard (Chad), Audrey Gaultier; sons, Bobby Bennett Primes, Danny Ray Primes, Jr. (Anjanette); grandchildren, Andrew and Beau Gaultier, Gabriella Riley, Christian and Barrett Broussard, Kacy and Kalie Primes; sister, Joyce Lebeau (Iry); brothers, Wallace Primes (Diane), Billy DeLacerda (Cindy). Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home-Gonzales on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 10am-1pm. Burial will take place following the Visitation at Faithful United Methodist Cemetery.
