John Paul Mitchell, 87, passed away on April 30, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Binghamton, NY. John served his country in the US Navy and was hononably discharged in 1957. After being discharged from the US Navy, he met the love of his life Ellen Kane. John & Ellen were married on May 5, 1962. John worked at IBM Endicott, NY for 35 years. After retirement John & Ellen relocated to Orange Park, FL.
John was predeceased by his wife Ellen Mitchell (September 2009); and is survived by his 4 sons: Thomas (Cindy) Mitchell, Timothy (Christine) Mitchell, Peter (Cindy) Mitchell and Paul (Dana) Mitchell; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL with Pastor Tim McDaniel officiating.
