Fannie "Jean" Gilmore, 86, of Pearl, passed from this life Wednesday, May 5, 2021 while surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are at 10:00am on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Jean was born and raised in Simpson County. After graduating from high school and business school, she moved to Jackson where she met her husband of 55 years, X.M. "Sonny" Gilmore. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Pearl.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Gilmore; daughter, Judith Dawn Gilmore; her parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
She is survived by her sons (spouse), Karl (Kathy) and Darryl (Melissa); sister, Kathleen Grubbs; grandchildren, Lindsay (Sarah), Kyle (Ashley), Cari, Taylor, and Jonathan; a number of nieces and nephews; and of course her companion during her last years, Tori (aka the pup).
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
