Alfred “Jay” J. Franks Jr.

A Celebration of the Life of Alfred James “Jay” Franks, Jr., 48, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Jay passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021. Born on November 22, 1972 in Myrtle Beach, he was a son of Alfred James Franks, Sr. and Carolyn Franks. Jay was the husband of 23 years to Lois Todd Franks. A 1991 graduate of North Myrtle Beach High School, Jay continued his education at Horry-Georgetown Technical College where he received his degree in Business Administration. He worked for 23 years with White Reality. Jay enjoyed cooking and the outdoors where he would hunt and fish. He was a family man who loved his family dearly. Jay will be greatly missed. Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are his brothers, Johnny Franks, Jason “JP” Franks; sisters, Jessica Cohee, Julia Flynn; children, Billy Lewis, Braxton Lewis, Miles Franks, Raymond Franks, Samuel Franks, Savana Mogyorosi and Haleigh Franks. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren. The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
