Micaela Arroyo

“Mica” 93, passed away June 7, 2021, in El Paso, TX surrounded by her family. She was a beautiful woman, spiritual, gifted, kindhearted, very caring, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a restaurant chef for 30 years and retired from the original Leo's Mexican Food Restaurant in El Paso, TX. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends in person, by phone and was quick to help and assist many, not to mention, offer prayers and gave great advice. Ms. Arroyo will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.

Ms. Arroyo is survived by her sons and daughters Jose Arroyo, Jr. (Blanca), Mike A. Arroyo (Yolanda), Maria Rosario Galvan (Salvador ホ), Mary C. Ramos-Aguilar (Armando) and her sister, Consuelo Gallardo (Cosmeホ) Nieces, Nephews and their families.

Great grandchildren: Joey Najera, Brittney Najera, Aaron Flores, David Flores, Theodore Gorney, Samantha Luna (Trey) Alejandro Almodovar, Jr., Madeline Almodovar, Anthony Fore Jr., Annalise Fore, Arya Arroyo, Jose Arroyo IV, Josiah Arroyo, Derek Moreno, Sophia Moreno, Noemi Moreno, Cassandra Acosta, Alfredo Acosta III., Andrea Ramos, Aidan Ramos, Andrew Ramos, Chloe Navarro, Charli Navarro, Zenon Navarrette, Jr., Zoe Navarrete, Louie Miranda, Caleb Miranda, Tristan Miranda, Jessie Miranda, One great-great-granddaughter and one great-grandson on the way.

Ms. Arroyo’s family, nieces, nephews, cousins, friend, and neighbors will always cherish great memories of her wittiness, generosity, super optimism, and great faith in the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband Jose Arroyo Ramirez and parents Genovevo and Concepcion Chavez, siblings: Manuela Chavez, Ezekiel Chavez, Manuel Chavez, Anita Flores, & Carmen Chavez.

Visitation Services June 23rd, 2:00-6:00p.m., followed by the Rosary 5:00-6:00p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home-East. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00a.m., June 24th at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church. Burial will follow immediately at MT. Carmel Cemetery, El Paso, TX.
