Michael Dean Mast

Michael Dean Mast, 63 a resident of Briarcliff, Texas passed away on June 24, 2021. He is survived by his wife Deanna, three children Wendy (Michael) Barros, April Mast and Stephen (Nikki) Mast, step-daughters Katherine Tovar and Melody (Michael) Civico; grandchildren: James and Kyla Barros, Alissa Mast, Antonio Dias, Elias and Lillyan Mast, Jayla Jasso, Wesley and Nathan Mast; Alexandra, Jacob and Elizabeth Tovar, Johnathon and Britany Hatcher, Christopher Lira, Isaiah and Kylee Civico. Mother Phyllis Wiegand, brother Jeff Mast, sisters Kimberly (Terry) Boyd and Susan (Phillip) Lozano. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Michael graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. He was a deep thinker and lover of the Word of God. All who had the opportunity to know Michael, know that his life was centered in Christ, he lived humbly, loved deeply and respected all. Michael’s professional career spanned thirty two years at Kings View Work Experience Center in Atwater, California.

Michael accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of seventeen at First Baptist Church Atwater, California, there he served and worshiped for over forty years. He moved to Texas in 2017 and made First Baptist Church Marble Falls his home.

Michael loved camping, fishing and spending time with family, anyone who ever camped with him at Sunset Beach State Park on the Monterey Coast will never forget the experience! A BBQ aficionado was he, all who shared a dinner prepared by Michael Mast have had their taste buds forever spoiled to any other BBQ master.

Until the day we are reunited with Michael Dean Mast in heaven, we will miss him terribly, but we are all forever changed because we knew and were loved by him.
