Mickey H. Garrison

Mickey Hubert Garrison, 65, of Seymour, TN, peacefully passed away on July 9, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his beloved family after a long and courageous battle with liver cancer. He was born in Pineville, KY to Barbara Bruner and Charles Mills on June 29, 1956. He married the love of his life, Lou Ann Garrison on September 4, 1976. They had their first child, Shaun Garrison in September of 1978 before relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1981. They welcomed their second child, Tiffany Garrison-White in 1983 before moving into their forever home in Seymour. This is where Mickey found his greatest happiness working in the yard planting flowers with his wife. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering on small projects in his garage. He found great joy watching his “girls” Abbi and Coco chase the squirrels and rabbits through the yard and around the trees. His greatest love was spending time with his six grandchildren. He never hesitated to jump on a trampoline, throw a ball, ride a tractor, become a human jungle gym, or blow bubbles to see the smiles spread across their faces. He found happiness and peace while sitting on the beach with his feet in the sand and spending time on his boat at the lake with his family.

Mickey is preceded in death by his father, Charles Hubert Mills of Nicholasville, KY, his mother, Barbara Ann Bruner of Seymour, TN and his two “boys” Cozmo and Sebastian.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Garrison of Seymour, TN, his two children, Shaun (Kari) Garrison of Robbinsville, NC, and Tiffany (Justin) Garrison-White of Seymour, TN, his six grandchildren, Hali, Kade and Bryc of Robbinsville, NC, Britton, Kingston and Kendall Snow of Seymour, TN, his two “girls” Abbi and Coco. Receiving of Family and Friends will be held at Berry Highland South, 9010 E. Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920 on Sunday, July 11 from 2:00 until 4:00pm with Funeral Service to follow. The Interment will be held the following day, Monday, July 12 at 1:00 at the Garden of Resurrection at Berry Highland South.
