Brian Patrick Deer

Brian was born October 5, 1969 in Raleigh, NC, the son of Carolyn Peck Deer and the late Fred G. Deer . Brian's early years were spent in Raleigh where he attended Sanderson High School and worked for 10 years at Goodwill Industries in Cary. He frequently participated in Special Olympics and was an avid sports fan. Favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, the Tarheels, and the NY Mets. He enjoyed attending WWE wrestling events. Brian achieved his black belt in Taekwondo. He attended the Arc of High Point Wild and Free program and sang in the Heart and Soul choir. Brian was a member of First Baptist Church in Greensboro, where he attended his beloved Happy Hearts Sunday School class.

Brian is survived by his mother, Carolyn Deer; his sister, Janet Pennell and brother-in-law Adam Pennell and a nephew, Zane Pennell.

A Celebration of Brian's life will be held Westchester Baptist Church in High Point on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. by Rev. Dr. Eric Peacock. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to the Arc of High Point.
