Chester F. Gibert, 75, went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2021. He was born on October 3, 1945 in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Mobile, Alabama with his wife and children where he has resided for the past 44 years. He was a beloved husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and caring great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Elenora Gibert; and grandson, Bryan Harvey.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Gibert; one son, Chester F. Gibert, Jr. (Karen) of Axis, Alabama; two daughters, Candace Greeley (Rodney) of Mobile, Alabama, and Dawn Harvey (Keith) of Orange Beach, Alabama; grandchildren, Megan Stokes (Brandon), Cole Gibert (Katelyn), Madison Cain, Hayden Greeley, Patrick Harvey (Anna), Michael Smith, Emma Harvey, Molly Harvey, and Andrew Hester; great-grandchildren, Henry, Chloe, Allie, and Lola.
He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by countless relatives, family, friends, and his treasured ’64 Impala.
Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home in Mobile on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
