Isabelle (Duerr) Birnbaum, 94, left us peacefully on September 18, 2021, to meet her Lord and Savior. She was born on March 7, 1927 in Radcliff, Arkansas to Otto Woerner and Helen Erman Woerner. She worked at Italiano’s Italian Restaurant for more than twenty years. Isabelle was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and served for more than thirty years as the Sacristan. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew E. Duerr; one son, Dennis A. Duerr.
Isabelle is survived by four daughters, Donna Simms of Fort Smith, Deborah Hartley-Bowman (Phillip) of Baxter Springs, KS, Diane Binyon (Clay) of Fort Smith, Doreen Williams of Fort Smith; four sons, Daniel Duerr (Patty) of Russellville, David Duerr (Beth) of Fayetteville, Dale Duerr (Shelly) of Springdale and Delmar Duerr (Carol) of Fayetteville; one brother Phillip Woerner of Georgia; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Mass will be 10 AM, Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 PM till 6 PM, Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Rosary will begin 6 PM, immediately following visitation at Edwards Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
