Barbara Floyd Young

Barbara Floyd Young, formerly of Piperton, TN passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021. She was a homemaker and a member of Piperton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening.

Barbara was born on August 12, 1937, in Selmer, Tennessee to the late Warren and Robbie McNatt Floyd. She was the oldest of 9 children. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Tommy Young, and her five brothers; James Floyd, Johnny Floyd, Pete Floyd, Robert Floyd, and Stanley Floyd.

Barbara is survived by four children; Beverly (Randy) Dilliard of Rossville, TN, Brenda (Chris) Forcherio of Pacific, MO, Belinda Wade of Memphis, TN, and Suzy Hurst of Arlington, TN, three grandsons; Chris Dilliard of Moscow, TN, Aaron (Brittani) Dilliard of Knoxville, TN, Greg (Heather) Forcherio of Ellettsville, IN and three great grandchildren; Tara Dilliard, Emma Forcherio and Graham Forcherio. She also leaves three sisters; Judy Whitten of Oakland, TN, Sue Ray and Jane Wallis both of Selmer, TN.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 22, from 5-8 pm with a funeral service on Saturday, October 23, at 2 pm at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W Poplar Ave., Collierville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Shepherd's Haven, 175 Shepherd's Way Arlington, TN 38002.
