Riley Funeral Home offers a broad range of services and welcome people of all faiths and cultural backgrounds. You may be seeking a basic cremation with ashes scattered in a personally meaningful place, or maybe your loved one wanted a full traditional funeral service with a cemetery burial. Perhaps a creative outdoor celebration complete with live music, favorite foods, personal tributes and funeral favors is the right fit. We are here to help you and your family remember a loved one.

Cremation services

Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the funeral home team can explain the process and different options. From a direct cremation without a memorial service or a witness cremation to a full funeral service before or after the cremation and more, we help you understand this increasingly common choice—and handle all of the cremation arrangements.

Planning ahead

At Riley Funeral Home, we also recognize that funeral arrangements and associated expenses can be overwhelming. In addition to assisting during your immediate time of need, our funeral directors specialize in working with families to plan ahead. By preparing in advance, you provide a sense of relief, peace of mind and comfort for your loved ones while ensuring your wishes are met and your budget is kept. We are here to discuss these options should you wish to do so.

Please contact us if you need immediate assistance, wish to visit us or if you would like more information about our products and services.

History

Williams & Riley Funeral Home first opened on the square in downtown Hamilton in 1939. Like many funeral homes of the time, it also offered ambulance services. Later, the funeral home moved into its current location, a former nursing school, on West Main Street.

Eventually, ambulance services were dropped and the name of the funeral home changed to Bob Riley Funeral Home. After Bob died in 1979, his daughter Martha and her husband, Melvin Henkes, continued to run the business until 2004.

Today, Riley Funeral Home is a member of the Dignity Memorial® network, the largest group of licensed funeral providers in North America.
