MACON – Robert M. “Mike” Terrell, 54, died suddenly on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Monroe County Hospital. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Jay Harris officiating. Members of the River Forest Golf Club are asked to sit as a group for the service. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street and suggests that those who wish make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 4406, Macon 31208 or to their charity of choice.
Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Pendley Terrell in 1998. He was born in Amarillo, TX and had lived in Macon most of his life. Mr. Terrell attended Mercer University and was in chemical sales for more than thirty years and was sales manager with Ashland Chemical. He was a member of Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Terrell had been a longtime member of Riverside Golf and Country Club and was a past president. He was a member of River Forest Golf and Country Club. Mike loved spending time with his family and friends on the beach and in the Gulf.
He is survived by his family whom he adored, his wife, Julie D. Terrell of Macon; his children, Stephanie Lyn Terrell of New York City, Christopher Michael
Terrell and Elizabeth Lea Terrell of Macon; his father, Bob J. (Betty) Terrell of Macon; his sisters, Jackye Lynne Moss (Ralph) of Whitehouse, TX, Janet Terrell Judkins (Steve) of Nederland, TX and Julie Terrell Barnette (Glenn) of Alpharetta, GA; several nieces and nephews and extended family.
