Virginia Theresa Pihonak Lucas, 68, passed peacefully into eternal rest with family by her side on Thursday, October 21, 2010. Born in Bridgeport, CT on February 18, 1942 to the late George Pihonak and Joephine Spinelli Pihonak. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband Clarence Lucas, Jr. of Shelton and her children Joseph Lucas of Norwalk, Kevin Lucas of Ansonia, Jennifer Lucas of Shelton and Laura Lucas of Shelton. She is also survived by three brothers; Michael Pihonak and wife Gail of Stratford, George Pihonak and wife Maureen of Monroe and James Pihonak of Norwalk; Brother-in-Law Sonny Foder and his daughter Suzanne Foder of Hinsdale, New Hampshire as well as several nieces and nephews and two lifelong friends, Wilma Hansen of Dover Plain, NY and Bernice Gauger of Monroe, CT. She is pre-deceased by her sister Joan Pihonak Foder of Bridgeport. Virginia grew up in Bridgeport and attended Notre Dame High School where she graduated with honors a part of the first girl’s class in 1960. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 25th at 10:00 AM in St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main Street Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull. Friends may visit Sunday October 24th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Spadaccino and Leo P.
