LONA F. BAKER, 96, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at University Park Nursing Home. Born Nov. 6, 1914, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Jeffrey S. and Oma (Beach) Fredrick. She was a graduate of North Side High School, class of 1933. She retired from 1st Federal Savings & Loan in 1978 as a Loan Officer. She also worked for AD Delagrange Construction and was a Real Estate Broker. She was a past member of The Quota Club. Surviving are daughter, Karolyn Neale of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Tracy Neale Blackwell; great-granddaughter, Haley Neale; and nieces, Pamela Farrell and Anita Hacker. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Juanita Beck and Evadna Ferrell. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. with calling one hour prior. Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
