Lorraine Baker, age 81, a long time resident of Sedalia Co. died July 15th Interment will be held September 14th, 2011 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver where she will be laid to rest by her husband.
Lorraine was born on July 26th, 1930 in Amesbury, Mass. She was the daughter of Joseph Ulric Larochelle and Odile (Cyr) Larochelle. On April 9, 1949 she married Ludlow S. Baker who preceded her in death.
Lorraine was a military wife who traveled the world in support of her husband. She also had a successful 20 year career with the federal government as a contract officer. During her retirement she traveled the US and Mexico with her husband in their RV. She was beloved by family and friends and will be remembered for her quick wit and quirky humor. She is sorely missed.
She is survived by 4 children, Thomasin Converse and husband Charles of San Antonio TX., Carolyn Baker and husband Charles Mavrogeorge of Falmouth MA, Darwin Baker and wife Sherri of North Bend,WA and Scott Baker of Story, WY. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, one brother Lionel of San Diego, CA, and three sisters, Jeanette of Newburyport, MA, Jeanine of Dyersville, Iowa and Laurianne of Eliot, Maine.
