Mr. Lombardo was a Korean War Veteran, a former member of St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society, and the Lebanon, Illinois Lions Club. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He ran Lombardo’s Service Station, near Scott Air Force Base, Illinois for 40 years. He served the Lebanon, Illinois community as an Alderman and later as Mayor.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Blanche Lombardo, nee Bivona, whom he married on July 21, 1951 and who passed on May 4, 2002; a brother, Capt. Stephen J. Lombardo, USN, retired; a nephew, Mark Lombardo; and his parents, Joseph and Lucy, nee Gianoni, Lombardo.
Surviving by his second wife, Judy Campbell-Lombardo, nee Schweinforth; his children, Stephen (Lynn) Lombardo, Luanne (Leroy) Kaiser, Andrea Lombardo, and James (Jill) Lombardo; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Joyner, Amanda Kaiser, Nick, Chris, and Anthony Lombardo, and Gina Prosser; two great grandchildren, Lacey Weissenborn and Sophia Swaim; and a brother, Joseph (Joyce) Lombardo.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, February, 17, 2012, at Meyer Funeral Home in Lebanon, Illinois. Interment will be held privately in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lebanon, Illinois.
