Nina G. Acker, daughter of Glenn and Blanche Hitchcock, born February 10, 1916 in Williamston, died March 5, 2012.
Nina was married to Reno C. Acker who predeceased her in 2006. She was a long-time member of Williamston Church of the Nazarene. Nina enjoyed playing the piano, both at home and for her church. She taught at the Beard School near Perry, which was a one room schoolhouse.
Nina was predeceased by her brother Lyman Hitchcock. She is survived by her son Timothy (Pamela) Acker; grandchildren Amber, Danielle, Timothy and Charles; seven great grandchildren; and sisters Mable Hess, Norma Foster, Velma Fisher and Helen Christianson.
Visitation will be at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8. Services will be held at the chapel on Thursday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Alchin Farm Cemetery, Webberville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Williamston Church of the Nazarene, 518 High St., Williamston, MI 48895.
