Norma Marsyl Arndt, 90 of Clinton Township, formerly a 40 year resident of St. Clair Shores, died April 24 at her home. Born in Kentucky, Mrs. Arndt moved to Detroit as a child and graduated from Southeastern High School, where she ran track. She met her husband, Walter at the Bethany Church of God. An executive secretary, Norma spent her career with several companies, retiring from the Macomb Intermediate School District Personnel Department. Norma had a beautiful smile and a quick wit, and was an active, bright 90 year old-- very proud to be 90, telling everyone she met! Norma and Walter's three daughters were their pride and joy, encouraging them in their youth in Christianity, music and higher education.
Norma's husband, Walter Julius Arndt, her sister Helen Mihalko mother Ita Lee Edwards and father William Jennings Kimbro all preceded her in death. Her strong Christian faith guided her to her heavenly home to reunite with them. She is survived by her daughters, Walleen (Berakovich), Deborah ( Wozniak) and Susan ( MacLeod), loving son-in laws, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The Alzheimer's Foundation.
