Alexander Kulchuk, 91, of Stamford, formerly of Old Greenwich, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27th at Stamford Hospital. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sophie Wowk Kulchuk. He was born in Bronx, NY on March 25, 1921 and was the son of the late Peter and Anna Holowencuk Kulchuk. Alexander had a long professional career at Perkin-Elmer Corporation of Norwalk, Connecticut and Mayaquez, Puerto Rico. He was a boating enthusiast, a member of the Power Squadron, a long-time member of the Greenwich Boat and Yacht Club and loved anything that had to do with boats, bait and fishing, especially when the Blue Fish were in season. Mr. Kulchuk is survived by his sister, Anna Kulchuk, a son Gregory Kulchuk, a daughter Marcia Wessels, two grandchildren, Robert Kulchuk and Kelsey Wessels, and a great-granddaughter Kathryn Alexandra Kulchuk. The immediate family will gather for a private graveside service to be held at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery.
