He was a former resident of Chicago and Fremont.
Mr. Olcott was employed at the McDonald's on the Indiana Toll Road as a maintenance worker.
He enjoyed working on cars, and collecting vintage die cast cars.
He was born Feb. 27, 1947, in Chicago to Richard and Florence (Campbell) Olcott.
Surviving are a daughter, Christal McDowell of Angola; a son, Phillip Olcott of Angola; two stepsons, John Naylor of Fort Wayne and Daniel Naylor of Angola; Two Granddaughters, Desirae Hutter of Angola, and Kaylee Olcott of Coldwater; three sisters, Emma Penrod of Fremont, Anna and James Price of Empire, Ala., Patty Hubaker of Coldwater, Mich.; five brothers, Richard and Sandy Olcott of Chicago, James Olcott of Coldwater, Mich., Freddy Emil of California, Walter Olcott of Coldwater, Mich., and George Olcott of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Kathleen Lytle; a brother, Lewis Olcott; and a grandson, Anthony Preston Olcott.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor John Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery at Fremont.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
