Thomas “Tom” Cain departed this world on June 14, 2012 to be with our Lord and Savior.
Mr. Cain was born in Greensboro North Carolina and lived in Sulphur/Westlake area for more than 60 years. He enlisted in the US Air Force at age 17 and was stationed at Chennault AFB in Lake Charles. Mr. Cain retired from Conoco/Dupont. He was a long time parishioner of St. John Bosco Catholic Church and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Cain is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sadie Fournerat Cain; daughter, Tommie Sumpter of Lake Charles; sons, Lonnie Cain of Sulphur, and Kim Cain and wife Monica of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Danny, Justin, T-Lon, Shay, Allie, Aaron and Kimberly; great grandchildren, McKenna, Sadie and Kobe. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and his dog Buddy. Mr. Cain is preceded in death by his son, Danny; parents, James E. Sr. and Sadie Riley Cain; brother, James E. Cain Jr.; and sisters, Marjorie Rayle and Catherine Westbrook.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16 2012 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Rev. Albert Borel will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake and will continue at 8 a.m. until time of service on Saturday. Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday.
