Fred was born in December of 1952 in Omak, WA to James and Ethel Albers. He was the oldest of 4 children. When Fred was an infant the family moved to Yakima which Fred called home for the remainder of his life.
Fred received his education from the Yakima school system. After being placed with Yakima Specialties he went to work for Michaelson Packaging where he worked for 9 years. He returned to Yakima Specialties where he stayed for the next 25 years.
Fred was an active member of 1st Presbyterian Church where he ushered regularly. He participated in the Kiwanis Action club, and a Saturday bowling league.
Fred loved animals, toys, the History Channel, shopping, a good meal and anything Disney.
Fred is survived by his parents, Jim and Ethel Albers; his siblings, Lorna Smith (Britt), Martin Albers (Dia), Kathy Beaulaurier (Mark); 1 niece, 5 nephews; his Aunt Caroline, 4 cousins; his good friend Polly Christian, and his family at Loretta Deavers Adult Home.
A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Yakima Specialties Foundation.
