Cecil Ray Crohn, age 70, of Ellettsville, died Wednesday morning at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born February 15, 1942 in Bloomington, he was the son of Frank and Gayle (Rumple) Crohn. He was the owner of Raintree Muffler Shops in Bloomington and Martinsville. He was Vietnam War era veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the American Legion Post #18 in Bloomington.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Miller) Crohn, of Ellettsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Wendy Crohn, of Ellettsville; one adopted daughter, Shawna Crohn Hayden, of Bloomington; one step-son and daughter-in-law; Gregory and Patricia Robison, of Bloomington; one step-daughter, Janna Robison, of Ellettsville and three brothers, Calvin (Mary) Crohn and Larry Crohn, both of Bloomington and Harold “Jack” (Carmilla) Crohn, of Solsberry, eight grandchildren and great=grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Charles Crohn, Dana Crohn and Duane Crohn.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens where the Veterans Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
