She spent her 66 years in Buffalo and Niagara Falls, before moving permanently to Naples, FL.
Sophia was a homemaker, talented seamstress, avid card player, enjoyed bingo and garage saleing; she also appreciated and collected antiques. She was known as “The Sunshine Lady” in her neighborhood.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, John Sliwa; sons, Thomas (Christine) Sliwa, David Sliwa (Patricia McLaughlin); daughter, Susan Foley; grandson, Aaron (Sharon) Mentkowski and three great grandsons, Robbie, Jacob and Brady; two step grandsons, Todd Searles and David (Christine) Searles and their children, Christopher and Jessica.
She was predeceased by their youngest son, Michael Sliwa.
