David Richard “Dick” Wise, 84, died Sunday, February 24, 2013. Born in Miami in 1929 to Arapad & Fritzi Wise. A Miami High graduate. A US Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton during the Korean War. A graduate of the University of Miami and became a CPA. Worked for Walton Building Products for 8 years before opening B. Wise Realty in 1967. Retired in 1975 at
age 46 to spend time with the love of his life, Lorna, his wife of 61 years who survives him. An avid golfer, Dick was the low medalist for the first Miami junior golf tournament. Dick also won the Camp Pendleton Club Championship in 1953. He and Lorna spent over 30 years traveling in their motorhomes throughout North America. Relocated from Miami to Tampa in 1998. Also survived by daughter, Staci Blatt (Jon), son Robert S. Wise (Rosemary); grandchildren, Daniel Neill (Rebecca), Aaron Wise, Jason Blatt (Tasha) and Avery Blatt; great-grandson, Adam; sister, Nanci Miller; many nephews, nieces and cousins. An honest and generous man who is greatly loved and will be sorely missed. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to LifePath Hospice.
