Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 15, from 6pm to 8pm at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm. Mass will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Cyril officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Amaro was born September 19, 1935 in Waco, TX to Joe and Adelina (Lina) Gonzales. Mrs. Amaro was a retired seamstress from the VA Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents and late, devoted and loving husband of 43 years, the love of her life whom she missed dearly, Endalecio (Andy) H. Amaro, who passed away on March 2, 1995. Survivors include her loving children: son, Joe E. Amaro of Waco and Guadalupe Ofelia, daughter, Terry Gonzales and husband Victor of Hewitt, daughter, Nora A. Morell and husband Eddie of Beverly Hills; three loving granddaughters: Bianca Conrad and husband Ben of Austin, Lola Penela and husband Alex of Waco, Stephanie Gonzales of Austin; loving brothers: Joe V. Gonzales of Waco, Joe Jr. Gonzales and wife Eva of Gholson, Roy Gonzales and wife Nina of Woodway, Ramiro Gonzales and wife Rosa of Waco, Lonnie Gonzales of McGregor, and David Gonzales and Crystal Guerrero of Beverly Hills as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Richard Gonzales, Josh Gonzales, Stephen Gonzales, Michael Gonzales, Andrew Gonzales and Ben Conrad. The family wishes to thank her devoted brother, David Gonzales, and her Aunt Irene and Uncle Porfirio Calderon for their care and devotion for our mother over the years. The family also wishes to express their great appreciation for the love and care given to our mother by Dr. Karl M. Trippe of Waco Primary Care, nurse Destiny Hutchinson, Dr. Steven Elwell and the nurses of “3 North” of Providence Hospital, and Dr Jahrmarkt and the staff of Providence Hospice.
