Jerry grew up in western Kansas, and spent much of his young adult life working in the wheat fields. He later served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. After 35 years of employment, Jerry retired in 2012 as an oil field equipment inspector. He loved traveling, hunting, fishing and boating on Lake Eufaula. Jerry spent many memorable years coaching his daughter, Sarah’s softball teams.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Renee; daughter, Sarah Pool and husband, Jeff; his identical twin granddaughters, Alyssa and Morgan Pool; mother, Marilyn Watkins; brother, O.J. Watkins, Jr. and wife Marina; sister, Phyllis Watkins and partner, Robert Pyon.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel.
