She was a native of Spiro, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Sulphur since 1949. Carolyn enjoyed shopping, traveling, and being outdoors, especially working in her yard. She retired from West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in 1997 after 25 years of service as a surgical scrub nurse.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Manard and husband, Ross, and Rebecca Doherty, all of Sulphur; her brother, Dewell Bryant of Kansas City, Missouri; five granddaughters, Heather Rowe, Jennifer Manard, Terrina Richard, Jessica Manard, and Aleisha Green; and nine great-grandchildren, Tylor Manard, Kade O'Quinn, Jeremy Richard, Ali Richard, Kaleigh Manard, Kenzie Manard, Kassi Manard, Jozee Doherty, and Payton Doherty.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 5, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Mike Richard will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Pallbearers will be Tylor Manard, Kade O'Quinn, R.J. Chaisson, Chris Richard, Kelly Green, and Allen Bryant.
