He was the husband of Geraldine “Jidge” Mazzola (Delicata). Devoted father to Ruth M. Mazzola Lawner of Hollis NH, Francis G. Mazzola Jr of Wellesley, Eve M. Gregory of Dummerston VT, Gina M. Christman of West Lebanon, NH, Paul G. Mazzola of Scituate, Tia M. Mazzola of Brighton, and Julie M. Mazzola of Salem.
Frank is survived by his wife of 53 years and was a beloved brother to Lucy Olson of Nashua, Gerard Mazzola of Medfield, and the late Rose Sirianni, Loreto Mazzola, Elizabeth Lewis, N. Joseph Mazzola, Antonette DiGiovanni, Mary T. Pallotta and Domenic Mazzola. Frank was known as “Papa” to his 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them whenever he got the chance.
Educated at Brighton High School and Boston College, class of 1960, he went on to successful careers in sales, real estate and eventually working for the State Retirement Board as an advisor. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, stationed in Europe.
Frank enjoyed meals with friends and family alike and was generous to all. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15 at 10AM, St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. Burial will be private.
