Peg was born in Springfield , Ohio in 1926, the daughter of Irvin Ross Ziegler and Rachel Agnes Ziegler. She was a graduate of Miami Valley Hospital’s nursing program and was active in the alumni association.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan J. “Jim” Potter in 2003. She is survived by her son, Mark of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Annaree Benhase of Loveland, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Ziegler of Enon, Ohio; nephew, The Rt. Rev. Scott A. Benhase and his family of Savannah, Georgia; and niece, Carla Dedden and her family, also of Loveland.
A longtime resident of Kettering, Ohio, Peg volunteered with the City of Kettering, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Epiphany Lutheran Church and was an active resident of One Lincoln Park for seven years.
Peg moved to Houston in April of 2010 and became an active and much loved member of the Hallmark retirement community near Houston’s Galleria. There she could be found at the Saturday night chicken foot gathering and singing in one of the singing groups. While living in Houston she worshiped with her son at First Presbyterian Church of Houston.
A memorial service is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 22nd of March in the community center of The Hallmark, 4718 Hallmark Drive in Houston.
