He is survived by his wife: Susan; six kids: Billy, Trisha, Jonathan, Ashley, Sean and Nicole; grandchildren: 6; sister: Patricia Estrin; brother: Ronald; many nieces, nephews and friends.
After serving in the U.S. Army, he moved to North Ridgeville at the age of 23 to pursue his dream of teaching and coaching. He remained at North Ridgeville for 35 years, coaching baseball and football and teaching at the high school. During this time, he also served as the head of North Ridgeville Parks and Rec, where he led the building of South Central Park and Shady Drive.
Even after retiring from the high school, he remained coaching his kid's various baseball, softball and football teams even up until last summer. He also went on to serve on the Board of Education for the city of North Ridgeville. He also was a major contributor to Palmer field as well as a Free Mason.
Aside from coaching and teaching he loved spending time with his family and dogs, as well as cruising around in his convertible, golfing and playing cards, no matter the game. His motto was "have some fun today" and he did that until his last.
