Wilbur J. Morgan went to his Maker on February 28, 2018. Wilbur, better known as Wil, was born February 24, 1936 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Maurine and Wilbur Morgan. He graduated from Adamson High School in Dallas, Texas, attended East Texas State University, University of Texas, Eastern New Mexico College and served in the first Air Force class at the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Tommy and sister, Dorothy Clifton. Wil had three children with his first wife, Margaret, who also preceded him in death. Wil married Nancy Dunnam of Waco, Texas on February 24, 2007.
After his service at the Air Force Academy, he entered the field of Commercial Finance and enjoyed a very successful career with many nationally known financial institutions for well over 35 years. He loved his friends and family and enjoyed having barbecue parties, crawfish boils and numerous afternoon get togethers in what he and Nancy called the “East Garden” while living on their farm in Wills Point, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, daughters, Stephanie Dutton, Vickie Elaine Weiner and husband, David, son Wil Jr. and bonus children, Robby Dunnam and Vanice Dunnam along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Wil’s memorial service will begin at 2 pm on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Eubank Funeral Home, 27532 St Hwy 64 Canton, Texas 75103.
