TURNER---Edward J. Ledoux Jr. of Turner passed away peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018. He was born on May 25, 1935 in Nashua, New Hampshire, a son of the late Edward J. Ledoux, Sr. and Yvonne (Collier) Ledoux. Ed graduated from Nashua High School in 1953 and on June 23, 1956, he married the love of his life Rachel Cadorette. They raised five children and together built a home on Deering Lake in NH for their family to enjoy. Ed and Rachel spent many happy years at the lake before moving to Maine with their sons Douglas and Kevin in 1998. Ed loved the lake and was very proud of the home he built there. He was an avid sportsman and served as the past president of both the Horseshoe Fish and Game Club in Merrimack, NH and the 20th Skeet and Clay Sportsman’s Club in Hooksett, NH. He was an accomplished skeet shooter and travelled extensively throughout the East coast and Canada competing in and winning many medals in skeet. He competed in the 1988 World Skeet Championships in Savannah, Georgia. Golf and family played a big part of Ed’s life and he once scored a hole-in-one at the Amherst Country Club. He started the tradition of the “Ledoux Golf Weekend” which brings his brothers, sons, nephews, grandchildren and friends together annually and the tradition will continue. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, sense of humor and his ability tell a darn good joke.
Ed is survived by his son Daniel and his wife Debra of Bennington, NH, his son Douglas of Lewiston, ME, his son Keith and his wife Sue of Merrimack, NH, and his daughter Deborah Ledoux-Randlett and her husband Mark of Turner, ME, along with 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Rachel and his son, Kevin.

Visiting hours will be held at Fortin\Auburn on Thursday March 8, 2018 from 2-5pm. A Celebration of Ed’s life will take place on Friday March 9, 2018 at 11am with a gathering from 10-11am that morning also at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Ed to St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavilion, 102 Campus Avenue, Lewiston, Maine 04240. Donations will be specifically targeted for the activities department.
