Jean Webb Hinton

Jean Webb Hinton, age 81, of Wilmer, Alabama passed away on Monday March 5, 2018. Jean was born July 8, 1936 in Pascagoula, MS. A native of Kreole, Mississippi and resident of Tanner Williams, Alabama. She was a member of Tanner Williams Assembly of God Church, teaching beginners for many years. A former employee of Ingalls Shipbuilding.

She is preceded in death by her husband Winford Hinton, Sr., parents Leo, Sr. and Genevieve Webb, brothers; Leo "Pete" Webb and Merrill Webb, stepson Sherill Hinton, grandchildren; Stephanie Noel Dossett and Tonya Hinton Lassiter. Survivors include her son Terry Richmond, stepchildren Linda (Danny) Mason, Winford "Buddy" (Dona)Hinton, Jr. and Angela Hinton (Steve) Dossett. Brother Gwain Webb, sisters Elaine Westfal, Joan Simpson and Melva Emerson, favorite sister-in-law Gertrude Nicholas, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for Jean will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tanner Williams Assembly of God, 14440 Tanner Williams Raod, Wilmer, AL 36587. Funeral service follow at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Joyner Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Scooter Yates, Steve Yates, Benny Simpson, Danny Mason, Buddy Hinton and Steve Dossett.
