Miss Mary, growing up only 14 months apart, we played, fought, laughed and cried together.  We grew up together.  When we were in junior and senior high school, you would always act as if we were not related around your friends, but when we were out of school, I was back to being your brother .  When I started to date one of your best friends in high school, it made you real mad.  I was a pest that would look up to you for advice and guidance throughout our school years.  I have always admired your drive to follow your passions, be it in nursing or taking trips on a whim to the Grand Canyon.  You were always 'spunky' and wouldn't accept 'no' for an answer.  You had the determination to not let anything get in your way and always forged ahead, albeit at your own pace.  I have always been impressed at your loving skill that you possessed in your job at U of MN Children's Hospital. When I stopped in to see you late one night, you were taking care of a young child that had 13 IV pumps running and you had it all under control! Your loving care also showed with your children and family.  You always volunteered to bring freshly baked pies to our family gatherings, sometimes being late for the main meal so you could get the finishing touches on them done.  You were faced with many challenges throughout your life, many more then most could handle, but you faced them head on and wouldn't let them hold you back.  You fought your cancer head on, and sometimes you tried to hide it from us, but this battle was not to be won, you are now at peace, and your suffering has ended.   Loving sister, you will always be in my heart!

Mary was preceded in death by her Husband, Steve; Granddaughter, Emersyn Morris; and Parents, Elmer & Jeanne Dinesen. 

She is survived by Children, Erik, Jenny & Kristen; Siblings, Don, Barb (Charlie), Bill (Terri), Rick (Mary); Mother-In-Law, Sally; Loving Relatives & Friends.
