John McWhorter Lyles, age 101, of Fresno, California Entered into Rest on Friday March 9, 2018. John was born September 19, 1916 in Leesville, Louisiana.

John is survived by; daughter Barbara Lyles; and son John Lyles; grandchild Malia Lang, grandchild Berta Higgins, grandchild Dorian Follansbee, great grandchild Oscar Lang, great grandchild Sequoia Higgins and great grandchild Darien Higgins.

John was preceded in death by his 1st wife Delma "Jeanne" Dykstra-Lyles and his 2nd wife Ruth Pettitt Lyles.

A memorial service for John will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 4:00 PM at San Joaquin Gardens, 5555 N. Fresno Street, Fresno, California 93710.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to
