Dorothy Lee Arnold, 88, of Victoria, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018. She was born on August 14, 1929 in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Thurman and Edith Clawson Thompkins. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. After raising her family, she took her first job at Dunlaps Store in the Children’s Department and after several years of dedicated service she retired. Dorothy was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church involved in the Scripture Study.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann Vorphal of Meyersville, Judy Lee DeLair of Nashville, TN; son, Ronald A. Arnold of Belton, TX; 8 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oliver B. Arnold; son, Gary Oliver Arnold and sister, Harriet Hill.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home. On Wednesday, March 28, 2018, 9:30 am, the Rosary will be recited at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
