Carolyn Luella Eckler, 76, a resident of Waldorf, Maryland passed away Friday, March 30th. Born in Johnson City, New York, June 5, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Richard Elmo and Elizabeth Jane (Webber) Kretzer of Binghamton, New York.
She was employed as a loan mortgage processor prior to her retirement, after which she often devoted her time to volunteering at UM Charles Regional Medical Center. Carolyn was a member of Our Lady of Help Christians Catholic Church. Carolyn enjoyed reading, golfing, traveling with friends, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Louis Eckler; her sisters Charlotte Benjamin and Clara Lyon.
Survivors include her two sons, Gregory Eckler and his wife Sako Davis, Woodbridge, Virginia, and Gordon Eckler, Oakland, California; stepdaughter Kimberly Eckler Massie and her husband, Kevin, Manassas, Virginia; 2 stepsons Daniel Eckler and his wife Kelli, Leland, North Carolina, and Glen Eckler, Stafford, Virginia; 2 grand daughters Porsche Marano and her husband, Jesse, and Alexis Massie; 2 grand sons Patrick Eckler and Clyde Eckler; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A gathering will be held on Thursday, April 12th, 11:00 a.m. visitation with 12:00 p.m. service at Our Lady of Help Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf, Maryland. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Help Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village Street, Waldorf, MD 20602.
