Martha Elizabeth Speigner

Martha Elizabeth Speigner, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2018, in Miramar Beach, Florida. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Jesse J Speigner, her parents Ada and Curtis Carr, and son-in-law Buddy Berry. She is survived by daughters Diane Berry, Charlotte (Sonny) Stowers and sons, Jimmy (Tammy), Danny (Debbie) and Steve Speigner and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elizabeth loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with deep and abiding love and care. She was a long and devoted Auburn fan, attending football games for many seasons. She and Jesse were famous for their AUsome cookouts at Auburn tailgates—especially the yearly Fish Fry! No one left hungry! Elizabeth cared for each and every family member, extended family, and friends with love and devotion and good food. She had a great sense of style and color and loved to dress up and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum on Wednesday April 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Auburn Football Letterman’s Club, 392 South Donahue Dr, Auburn, AL 36849 or to a favorite charity would be appreciated.
